How can we help you maximise your use of mySmartID?
Accessing MySmartID Services
While the most popular way to gain access is via the free basic plan sign-up, users can also gain access via the standard and premium plans for excellent discounts on mySmartID services.
Easy, at the top right section of the home page, you would see a sign-in button that leads the user to a sign-in page. The user should use their already registered credentials (email and password) to sign in.
To view our terms, conditions, and policies, you can see them at the footer of most web pages or in the sign-up and sign-in pages of mysmartID.
MySmartID Wallet
When you sign up / sign in to my mySmartID account, you would be directed to my dashboard. In the top right-hand corner of the dashboard, you would see a card that shows your wallet balance. You would also see a button that allows you to fund your wallet.
In the wallet card in the dashboard, beneath the wallet balance, there is a small text that shows you how much you have spent in total. For more details, please contact mySmartID
As of this time, no, you cannot fund your wallet from external sources. You can only fund your mySmartID wallet from within the mySmartID platform.
To fund your wallet, you must be signed in. When signed in, you should navigate to the dashboard view. In this view, at the top right of the dashboard contents, you would see the wallet card and the fund wallet button. Click the fund wallet button and follow the linear process of funding your wallet. NOTE: You can fund your wallet by using a debit card or a direct bank transfer.
Contacting MySmartID
There are two main ways to contact our admin and support teams. To contact admin, send a mail to wecare@mysmartID.io To contact support, you can use the quick chat on the website or the "message feature" when signed in.
As of today, social links are not active. When they are active, we intend to also use their messaging tools for communication with prospective customers as well as share updates and offers.
Personnel Verification
Personnel verification gives you, the customer, the ability to verify the details provided by your "personnel" against several national and regional databases. NOTE: The NIN database in the only one we are connected to at the moment.

Easy, after you have added or uploaded the personnel's details to your account. You should navigate to the personnel's view (list) page, search for the personnel by name, and select the checkbox to select personnel. After which you click on the action drop-down and click NIN verification. The system would then verify the information provided against what exists in the database. Of course, you must have collected and entered the personnel NIN number into the system.
At this point, we only verify personnel details using the NIN number (virtual). They can get their virtual NIN from the NIMC application. Verifying firm is "VerifyMe"
Yes, you can. The personnel list has a column that shows the status of personnel details verification. The status's are (pending, failed, yes)
Personnel Details
Personnel details are the details of people that work for/with your organization, or are strongly associated with your organization, who you would like to provide the smart badge services for.
There are two ways you can add personnel details on mysmartID. Individually and in bulk. 1. You can add personnel one by one (See personnel in navigation) 2. You can also add personnel in bulk. We provide a sample bulk excel file which you can update and re-upload for bulk personnel creation
Yes, you can. Every personnel detail added can be viewed on the personnel's list page. You can click view for any of the personnel added to view and edit their details.
Yes, you can remove personnel details. In the same way you could view and edit details, you can select details you would like to delete and click on the action dropdown to delete these details.
You can create personnel groups on your mySmartID account. Examples of groups are IT, Accounting, Human resources, etc. We do not add any defaults as we do not presume the type, structure, or naming convention of your organizations' groups.
When you click on "personnel management", on the navigation pane. Click on "Add Personnel". It would show you two options, "Add personnel", Import Personnel". Click on "Import Personnel". You would see a like "here" to download the excel file. Upon clicking the link, you would get a sample excel file.
Smart Badge Authentication
This is where a (personnel's) badge is scanned for authenticity, accuracy, and validity. i.e: If a receptionist, doorman, or front desk wants to verify that the badge holder is who they say they are, work (are associated with) where they claim to work (or are associated with), and that their access is still valid..
To authenticate that a badge is valid, a person needs to scan the QR code present on all badges. To scan, there is a need to use a smart device that is connected to the internet and has a display screen for outputs. Examples: Smartphones, tablets, and webcams connected to laptops or desktop devices.
The scanner (person who scans the badge) would see the following information. 1. Person's name 2. Person's designation 3. Person's photograph 4. Company's name 5. Companies logo 6. An icon that shows the details are up-to-date 7. Validity status 8. mySmartID logo
Yes, this is possible. As part of our badge verification service, we allow the admins to view details of personnel badges that were scanned. Details include: 1. Scanned personnel name 2. Scanned personnel designation 3. Scanned time 4. Scanning IP address
MySmartID Plans
We give every user free access to using mySmartID for a lengthy duration with limited verification features. The user would be able to do the following: 1. Use badge templates 2. Add and manage personnel details 3. Design badges 4. Export badges 5. Fund and use wallets 6. Badges created can be authenticated
With the standard, most popular plan, you get all the benefits of the free plan plus a 5% discount for all billable services. You would also get free 500 credits added to your wallet.
